Scholarship holders' meeting on 30.05.2026
At the end of May, this year's scholarship meeting brought together students supported by our Foundation who are studying in Germany and other European countries. The meeting took place in Berlin and focused on getting to know each other, sharing experiences, and developing new ideas and projects together.
During the seminar sessions, the participants talked about their educational journeys and shared what it is like to live and study in Germany. They also presented projects that scholarship holders from the Middle East are carrying out at Talitha Kumi School. Together, they discussed how they can continue to support pupils and university students in the region.
One of the highlights of the meeting was the musical performances by our scholarship holders, which added a special touch to the afternoon programme. The participants also exchanged ideas about the value of building strong networks for their studies, future careers, and social engagement.
The meeting ended with a short devotional service at Heilandskirche, followed by a shared dinner at Hotel Rossi. We are grateful for the many inspiring conversations and the new connections that were made, and we are already looking forward to our next scholarship meeting in 2027.
Scholarship holders' meeting on 14.06.2025
On the occasion of our 30th anniversary of the foundation, we held our anniversary meeting in May 2024 at the "Hotel Rossi" in Berlin, albeit a year late. Our scholarship holders from Germany, some alumni who have been loyal to us for many years and our good friend of the foundation, Bishop Sani Ibrahim Azar (Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land) were invited.
On the evening of May 18th, we invited to a reception hosted by our Chairman of the board of trust who welcomed everyone. Afterwards, many interesting conversations were held at dinner at the Hotel Rossi.
The next day was fully used. In the seminar, various study and scholarship topics were discussed, a valuable exchange took place and some ideas were developed as to what the future work of the foundation together with our scholarship holders could look like. In the afternoon, after a short walk, we went on an excursion boat together to see some of Berlin's sights on a trip on the Spree.
Our scholarship holders had the evening at their disposal to explore Berlin.
It was a wonderful meeting, with a lively exchange, many impressions and it calls for a repeat next year.
