Mrs. Friederike Badekow and her husband Heinz Badekow |
In 2022, the Foundation received a generous donation from the estate of Mrs. Friederike Charlotte Badekow (deceased 26 October 2022) to increase its endowment. Mrs. Badekow was a film editor who dedicated her life to the world of film and media.
We are now able to award two or three scholarships each year in memory of Mrs. Badekow, her late husband, Heinz Badekow (a cameraman) and also the Kersten family. Based on our statutes, these scholarships are intended for academic study programs in the field of media and journalism. They are awarded under the name “Kersten-Badekow scholarship”.
