Information and documents required for scholarship applications
to the Dr. Gerda von Mach Memorial Foundation

 

  • completed personal data sheet including date and all necessary signatures
  • photograph of the applicant
  • ‘financial questionnaire’
  • This form must be signed personally by the applicant as well as signed and stamped by a person with official authority (employer, town hall or parish).
  • information about the applicant’s parents financial situation: employer's certificate, proof of salary
  • identity document, residence permit if studying abroad
  • birth and baptismal certificates
  • curriculum vitae
  • description of study and career plans: How did the choice of this particular course of study come about? What are the applicant’s special skills, interests, extra-curricular activities, hobbies, areas of social commitment? (approx. 300 words)
  • secondary school diploma
  • current marks from the university if applicant has already begun studying
  • unconditional university enrollment
  • at least 3 letters of recommendation (e.g. school, church, university)
  • details of study programme and examination schedule for the next two semesters
  • study plan showing the standard length of the chosen course of study

A five-member board of trustees will meet twice a year to discuss the awarding of scholarships.

Application deadlines:

1 Sept. – 31 Oct. for the year’s first meeting of trustees
1 Mar. – 30 Apr. for the year’s second meeting of trustees
