My experience

Elias AmroDr. rer. nat. Elias Amro, Research Fellow, German Cancer Research Centre (DKFZ), Heidelberg
Specialist area: Immunohematology

As a Senior Research Fellow Scientist at the German Cancer Research Centre (DKFZ), which operates in conjunction with the prestigious University of Heidelberg, I can look back on an excellent academic career with significant contributions in the field of molecular medicine and immunology. My academic journey began at Bethlehem University, where I developed a deep understanding of biology. I went on to complete a Master's program at Friedrich Schiller University in Jena and a PhD at the Leibniz Institute on Aging in Germany.

During my academic career, I was a significant contributor to several renowned molecular hematology and immunology journals. I also presented my scientific work at international conferences both in Germany and abroad.

A significant part of my success can be attributed to the invaluable support and cooperation of the Dr. Gerda von Mach Memorial Foundation. The scholarship I was granted by this foundation during my bachelor's degree not only alleviated financial constraints, but also served as a motivating impetus that propelled me forward in my relentless pursuit of knowledge.

The foundation's mission to support students in need and provide them with the opportunity to make significant contributions to society touches me deeply. Its noble goal of supporting students in difficult life situations has formed the basis of many success stories, especially in my hometown of Bethlehem. I know several people who successfully completed their studies thanks to the foundation's support and who are now playing a crucial role in their societies and professional fields.

I appreciate the Dr. Gerda von Mach Foundation for its inspiring mission, and I am grateful for its commitment to promoting education and empowering individuals to make meaningful contributions to their communities. Without the invaluable support of the foundation and our fruitful collaboration, my current successes would have been unthinkable.
