My experience
Hello! My name is Peter Missael, I am from Egypt and I am 28 years old. At the moment I am studying Egyptology/coptology and general linguistics at Georg-August-Universität in Göttingen, Germany.
My dream was to learn more about Egypt in the Coptic period (1st-7th century AD). The Dr. Gerda von Mach Memorial Foundation was convinced of my dream.
The staff there supported me in starting my studies. And they still support me during my studies and stay in Germany, especially in the most challenging times, such as the Corona pandemic.
Thanks to their backing, I don’t have to worry about supporting myself, and I can just focus on studying. Without their help, I would not be able to realize my dream.
I am very grateful to the foundation.
